Why should restaurant discounts be split proportionally instead of evenly?
If three friends get ₹600 off a ₹2,400 bill, dividing ₹600 evenly (₹200 each) penalizes the friend who ordered ₹1,200 of food and over-subsidizes the friend who only ordered a ₹300 salad. Proportional discounting gives each person 25% off their actual order.
Does the calculator support flat voucher discounts (e.g. ₹500 off on Axis Bank)?
Yes! Toggle the discount mode from "%" (percentage) to "Flat" and enter the exact voucher amount (e.g. ₹500). The flat discount is distributed proportionally across all diners.
How do we handle the ₹25 Swiggy Dineout or Zomato platform fee?
